Accessibility Statement

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard.

There is no conformance badge on this page. Not every success criterion has been tested, and we will not claim otherwise.

If the site will not let you do something, write to smari@nordicnavigators.com and it happens over email instead, with the same answer and the same calendar slots. Booking a call, the scorecard, anything else here. You will get a reply within two business days.

To report a problem, name the page and what happened, in whatever words you use for it. You do not need the technical term, and a rough description of where you got stuck is more useful than a precise one that took an hour to write.

The site is designed to work with current versions of the major browsers, on desktop and on phones, and with the operating system’s own text sizing and zoom. It is not designed for browsers more than two major versions old.

Accessibility relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript, and on these being supported by your browser and any assistive technology you use.

Despite our efforts, the following is known not to work as well as it should. Until these are fixed, the email route above is a working path rather than a courtesy.

• Five links on the booking page are too faint. The orange links reading “See what the Assessment covers”, and their four siblings, sit at 4.13:1 against the grey band behind them. The standard asks for 4.5:1.
• The timezone menu has two names. It reads “Times shown in” on screen and is called “Timezone” in the markup, so the name you can see is not the name voice control listens for.
• The analytics bar sits on top of the page until you answer it. It is fixed to the bottom of the window, so moving through the page with the Tab key can put the focus outline on something behind it. Answering it clears that.
• Card links on the home page, the notes index and the booking page. Each card is a single link, so a screen reader announces the whole card as that link’s name. Every one of them does say where it goes, which is the requirement, but the list of links on those pages is slower to skim than it should be.
• The scorecard quiz has no top-level heading. Moving through that page by heading finds nothing at the top level to land on.

Testing has covered the structure that assistive technology is given, rather than sustained use of the site with it. Nobody has yet worked through the site with a screen reader switched on, which is a different test and finds things the first cannot. Voice control and switch access are untested. So is the page at 200 and 400 percent zoom, and the size of touch targets has not been checked since the site was last rebuilt.

Payment pages are hosted by our payment processor and the demo dashboard is a separate application at a different address. Neither is covered by this statement.

If you use any of these and something does not work, that is the most useful message we could get.
