What I collect, and what I do not.

This site uses Google Analytics to count page views. It does not run until you accept it on the banner, and if you decline, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. That choice is stored in your browser and nowhere else, so declining is remembered on that browser and is not tied to you.

Google Analytics is configured without advertising features and without cross-site tracking.

When something on this site breaks, a report goes to Sentry so I can fix it. This runs whether or not you accept analytics, because a broken page should reach me either way.

The report contains the error, the page path, and your browser and operating system version. It is configured to send no IP address, no form values and no query strings. If you were on a page with something after the ?in the address, that part is removed before the report is sent. Error reports are stored in Sentry’s Frankfurt region.

Three forms on this site collect information, and each one only collects what it needs.

Booking a call. Your name, email, company, how you found me, and what you want to talk about. This is stored in my own database and used to hold the time and prepare for the call.

The scorecard. Your twelve answers are scored in your browser and shown to you immediately. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to enter an email address to receive the written report.

The newsletter. Your email address, and optionally your name and company, passed to Beehiiv, which sends the emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link and it works.

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe’s own pages. Card details are never entered on this site and never reach my systems. I see that a payment succeeded, for how much, and from whom.

Only the companies that operate parts of this service, and only the part each needs: Vercel hosts the site, Google Analytics counts page views if you accept, Sentry receives error reports, Beehiiv sends the newsletter, and Stripe processes payments. Booking a call also creates a record in my own scheduling system.

Your information is not sold, rented, or given to anyone for marketing. There is no advertising network on this site and no third-party tracking pixel.

Booking records and pipeline notes are kept while there is a working relationship or an active conversation, and removed on request. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Error reports expire automatically after 30 days.

Email smari@nordicnavigators.com and I will tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No form, no ticket number. If you are in the UK or EU, that is your right under GDPR; I would do it anyway.

To change your analytics choice, clear this site’s data in your browser and the banner will ask again.
